| Bio: | I have many unanswered questions about myself and existence. Sometimes its hard to know what the question even is.
I am a 20 year old recorder player and baroque oboist. I also play shawm and krumhorn. Early music is my passion. Apparently, I had a love for the music of J.S. Bach at age 3.
My home is in Plantation, FL but I was born in New York. I am a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy ('04) in Michigan. I am currently a sophomore majoring in recorder performance at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD.As of this semester, I have dropped my modern oboe major, because I realized that it just wasn't for me. I want to focus completely on early music.
I am of Eastern European Jewish and Italian heritage. I am a dork. In addition, I am left-handed. Some people consider me to be a hippie because I have long hair, and am a vegetarian. Gordon says that I'm like opera, you either like me or you don't. Casey is surprised that I didn't get beaten up in high school. I like to make crow and goat noises. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaah!....Caw! Caw! I am unstable and completely insane. I once choked on a red Lifesaver candy, oh the irony!
I enjoy learning about other languages and cultures, and can speak/read/write pretty decent Spanish. I am currently studying German, and I have also studied Italian. I am really fascinated by Eastern Europe. Maja is teaching me some Serbo-Croatian. I will probably learn Dutch soon, because I want to study early music in the Netherlands after I graduate.
I don't know much about popular culture and don't intend too. Sometimes I feel like I live in a cave. I wouldn't know an emo song if I heard it (which is probably a good thing).
I enjoy frolicking and ranting sometimes.
I like tricking people into thinking that I am an upstanding member of society, but I don't think I do a good job of it.
